The exchange project between the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University strengthened the cooperation launched in 2017 and consolidated through previous Erasmus+ CBHE experiences. The initiative aimed to consolidate academic and scientific relations between Italy and Ukraine in a war context, through student and staff mobility. The objectives were: to enhance students’ disciplinary (ICT, Management, Marketing) and intercultural skills, with full recognition of credits (15.5 ECTS on average); to foster the linguistic and digital development of teaching and administrative staff; to strengthen mutual understanding of educational systems; to promote inclusion, equity and sustainability. All mobilities were reclassified as fewer opportunities and mainly involved women (100% female students incoming, 60% female staff). The project also aimed to keep academic and research activities alive, creating synergies with Horizon Europe. The objectives were achieved with results beyond expectations (110% incoming mobility), confirming the resilience and proactive capacity of the institutions involved.
