The main objective of the project was to strengthen the internationalization of the University’s teaching offer and scientific research, in line with Objective No. 4 of UniPa’s 2021–2023 and 2024–2027 Three-Year Strategic Plans. This objective identifies the improvement of attractiveness and the enhancement of the University’s European and global vocation as a key element for the development of its educational and research areas. This orientation is translated into concrete and measurable actions, including the establishment of academic partnerships for teaching, the promotion of international mobility for students and faculty, and the intensification of relations with non-EU countries. In particular, the project addressed specific objectives 4.1 and 4.3, respectively focused on the internationalization of study cycles and multilingualism. The project thus enhanced ongoing collaboration with historical partners in joint teaching initiatives and enabled the creation of new partnerships on strategic topics such as migration and human rights protection. In this perspective, the University has intensified its cooperation activities with countries in the Mediterranean region, recognizing their strategic importance.
