Objectives

The 2022–2025 project was the first KA171 initiative approved for Sapienza under the new Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027, with funding of €824,628.00 allocated to support 171 incoming and outgoing mobilities in cooperation with 63 partner institutions across 22 countries. A total of 176 mobilities were implemented, including one Zero-EU Grant mobility. The additional mobilities were made possible thanks to leftovers from other grants. The project was only marginally affected by the slow post-pandemic recovery, but definitely more significantly impacted by structural challenges and geopolitical events (the war in Russia, Palestine, and Ethiopia, the coup in Myanmar). The qualitative objectives set by the university remained unchanged and were not compromised by the pandemic or geopolitical crises. These goals focused on promoting "internationalisation at home" and supporting mobility to third countries, in line with Sapienza’s broader student and staff mobility programmes. These objectives can be summarised as the full adherence to the European Charter for Higher Education 2021–2027 across all phases of mobility (before, during, and after), in alignment with Sapienza’s Erasmus Policy Statement 2021–2027.
