Background

Through the implementation of the project, we wanted to bring focus to the three most benefitting types of rehabilitation of prison inmates - Education, Rehabilitation and Employment. The COVID 19 crisis has had a strong impact on the labour market, therefore decreasing the chances of former inmates getting an occupation. Another hurdle for successful employment among prisoners over the recent years has been the lack of opportunities to learn skills and acquire knowledge in specialized fields. Through the project, we have joint efforts to find sustainable solutions when it comes to increasing the capacity of the personnel working with prisoners through sharing and exchanging good practices which could later be implemented in work with prisoners. The success of the inmates rehabilitation depends to a great extend on the capacity of the volunteers and professionals working with them. That's why our project has focused on increasing their competences through learning methodologies that has proved to be successful.
