Objectives

Capacity Building: Enhance the organization's and its partners' abilities in co-designing intercultural, sustainable, and inclusive social initiatives, following the New European Bauhaus approach. Supporting Vulnerable Groups: Improve the organization's capability to support vulnerable groups by involving them throughout the project process, thereby enhancing their employability and skills. Social and Cultural Inclusion: Address the dual challenge of social and cultural isolation by promoting a collaborative environment that offers new knowledge in social innovation to staff members, leveraging the European dimension. Sustainable Impact: Promote a sustainable impact in the intervention areas that contributes to reducing socioeconomic disparities and fosters integration and inclusion through shared learning and development.

Background

We, along with our partners, applied to improve the skills of our teams in social work with vulnerable groups. The need to acquire new competencies and abilities was crucial to strengthen the international and intercultural skills of our social worker engaged in the field of inclusion. We aimed to mutually learn good practices and seek stimuli useful for social innovation processes. Furthermore, we sought to encourage active participation in European projects by citizens and groups with particular social vulnerabilities (women and youth living in marginalized and disadvantaged areas, Roma, NEET youth), enhancing their skills and employability, and contributing to the reduction of socio-economic inequalities. Besides, as the lead entity, we operate in a context characterized by geographical isolation, which equates to cultural isolation. One of the most important motivations that drove us to realize the initiative was the desire to promote a transnational network that, through moments of dialogue and joint training, could exchange ideas, knowledge, and improve competencies, useful for developing more effective and efficient projects.
