By implementing this project, our primary objectives were to enhance students' awareness and understanding of environmental issues, including sustainable development, ecosystem preservation, climate change, biodiversity, and waste management.We sought to inspire behavioral change among students by instilling in them the importance of adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives. By engaging students in hands-on experiences and using modern ICT tools, we aimed to make learning about environmental issues more compelling and accessible. We aimed to foster collaboration and cooperation among students from partner schools, as well as with experts and teachers. Through joint activities and projects, students would have the opportunity to learn from each other and benefit from diverse perspectives on sustainability. By promoting sustainability across various aspects of life, we aimed to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the agenda. Overall, our goal was to empower students to become informed and proactive agents of change who are committed to preserving the environment and creating a sustainable future for generations to come.
We applied for this project because we recognized a pressing need for better education and awareness regarding environmental issues among our students. We identified a lack of sufficient information on critical topics such as sustainable development, ecosystem preservation, climate change, biodiversity. It became evident that our students lacked understanding regarding the finite nature of resources, distribution challenges, pollution levels, and the degradation of natural habitats, all of which threaten our planet's future. To address these gaps, our objective was to implement an educational initiative that not only raises awareness but also inspires concrete actions to combat environmental degradation. We believe it's paramount to instill environmentally friendly habits in our students to contribute to the preservation of our planet. Our project aimed to promote sustainability across various aspects of life, including school practices and responsible environmental behavior aligning with the values and vision of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Through this project, we aimed to involve students from partner schools in collaborative, interactive, and engaging activities focused on sustainability.
