Objectives

At the beginning of the project; An analysis study was conducted for students and teachers in our school to learn about the reflections of the Covid 19 epidemic on the school. According to the analysis results, students mostly wanted lessons to be held outdoors. However, it has been noticed that teachers lack skills in implementing outdoor education. Thereupon, our school aimed to solve the problem on an international scale by collaborating with other institutions in the European Union. In this way, we wanted to aim to improve teachers' outdoor education competencies. At the same time, we wanted to achieve the following goals in our project; * We wanted to improve the competencies of teachers so that outdoor education can be carried out in our schools. * We wanted our teachers to gain experience in international cooperation in outdoor education. * We wanted our teachers to specialize in outdoor education. * We wanted our schools to implement innovative education-training methods. * We wanted outdoor education to be learned locally and internationally. * We wanted to learn the advantages and risks of outdoor education in practice. * We wanted students to have improvements in academic-social-psychological areas.

Background

With the Covid 19 epidemic that started to be seen in the world in 2019, our students started to study at home. This situation has restricted students' access to nature and caused them to move away from their natural environments and forget the geographies they live in. With the epidemic under control, schools started education again. After the epidemic, educational activities in schools were increasingly confined to the walls of classrooms, causing students to move away from nature and not recognize the environment they live in. At the same time, taking students away from their computers and placing them within the walls of the classroom caused social and academic disorders in students. This project aimed to solve this problem by developing quality outdoor education in schools. In this context, the following needs were met in our project. * The need for teachers' lack of knowledge and skills in order to carry out outdoor education in our schools was met. * Teachers' need for international knowledge on outdoor education was met. * The need to eliminate the indifferent attitude of students towards the environment and nature they live in was met. * The need to eliminate students' indifference towards lessons and school was met.
