The primary objective was to design and implement an innovative IT model, the e-SF platform, to manage and integrate data and skills related to the psycho-physical well-being of adults managing automated work processes. We aimed to provide a system that facilitates the development of digital and technological competencies while promoting social inclusion and active citizenship. Specific goals included creating a personalized "e-wellbeing" reskilling path, developing an AI-based "digital counselor" to support users pro-actively, and establishing a secure, unalterable skills certification system based on blockchain technology.
Our application was motivated by the urgent need to support the approximately 50 million low-skilled adults in Europe who face significant barriers during the digital transition and the automation of industrial processes. The project addressed the widespread disengagement from Lifelong Learning (LLL) opportunities and the specific lack of effective tools for self-awareness, self-evaluation, and the formal recognition of non-formal skills. Furthermore, the partners identified a critical need to provide adults with the psychological and technical resources required to maintain their well-being while interacting with "intelligent" work automation software.
