Background

The reason why we applied for this project is that, despite the progress made in the past decade, persons with disabilities still face considerable barriers in access to healthcare, education, employment, recreation activities, as well as in participation in political life. The project wanted to contribute to the success of interventions in the field of disability and to the development of a new social care system based not only on health of people with disabilities, but also on quality of life and participation. The project aimed to give a response to main needs of partner organizations, their beneficiaries and stakeholders: - To ensure the effectiveness of interventions on the autonomy level of beneficiaries - To directly monitor beneficiaries progress, to facilitate their feedback and to adapt teaching and empowering strategies - To consciously design future empowering and learning paths based on the assessment of previous interventions - To recognize beneficiaries as protagonists in assessing the impact on their Quality of Life of empowering paths that they experience - To enable beneficiaries to use tools for the assessment of their Quality of Life.
