Objectives

The project's primary objective was to develop tools and methodologies capable of improving adolescent engagement and learning through the structured and educational use of digital technologies. The partnership aimed to strengthen students' key skills, promote informed use of ICT, and reduce disadvantages associated with non-study-oriented digital practices. The project also aimed to support teachers in designing innovative learning paths by providing operational resources, transferable models, and learning environments that facilitate active participation and the development of transversal skills. A further objective was to improve schools' capacity to systematically integrate digital tools, increasing the quality of educational offerings and the consistency of practices. To summarize, I-TEEN aims to create an effective and replicable approach for the use of ICT in teaching, helping to make learning more inclusive, motivating, and responsive to the current needs of students and teaching staff.

Background

Finn-a Tech submitted the project to address common European needs related to student education and teacher training. The need emerged to provide teachers and students with up-to-date tools and effective methodologies to improve engagement, develop key skills, and address educational disadvantage, proposing a structured use of ICT. Within the project, ICT is a tool for creating a shared, personalized, and inclusive activities. The needs analysis highlighted the lack of shared practices, coherent digital teaching resources, and learning pathways that facilitate adolescents' active participation, as well as the need to strengthen schools' capacity to design inclusive and innovative learning environments. Furthermore, the partnership between organizations with complementary expertise— technology providers and educational associations—provided a solid foundation for developing joint solutions. The relevance of the topic and the potential for producing transferable tools useful to the school system made launching the project a necessary step, consistent with current educational priorities.
