With this project we wanted to underline the role that each individual can play in Europe (and for Europe), transforming the opportunities offered by the EU into concrete actions to shape Europe and its institutions according to the real needs of the population. In fact, especially in a context of raising of nationalisms in many European countries, it was necessary for the youth workers of the partner associations to acquire specific and high quality competences that could help them in their work with young people to fight anti-Europeism and Euroscepticism, better understanding the EU and its institutions, showing them how to influence its decision-making processes and ensuring correct and accurate information. Based on these considerations, the project had the following objectives: -Explore the concept of personal identity in relation to the European identity -Educating youth workers and partner organizations to promote European values among young people -Provide specific information and competences on EU documents and institutions -Develop knowledge and competences of European citizenship and active participation in the society -Analyze methods and tools to work with young people, to be adapted to local contexts -Stimulate the exchange of good practices at European level and strengthen cooperation between partners
