Our project was the result of a combination of needs expressed by partner organizations regarding the necessity for more effective educational tools and skills to be used by youth workers and learning facilitators to address polarization and radicalization. Our project aimed to strengthen the capacity of youth work in countering social polarization and radicalization. By engaging youth educators and developing innovative peace education strategies, we sought to foster a young generation that is more resilient, tolerant, and civically engaged. The objectives were as follows: To enhance the skills of youth educators in implementing peace education activities that build young people's resilience against radicalization and social polarization, while promoting their civic engagement. To develop innovative and needs-based educational activities and materials for peace education in the youth sector, particularly educational tools to tackle social polarization and radicalization. To intensify transnational cooperation among project partners in the field of peace education. We successfully empowered and activated our participants, and through a series of workshops and peace education activities, we improved their skills to counter polarization and radicalization among peers, families, and society at large. Participants reported a significant increase in awareness regarding the mechanisms of polarization and felt more confident in promoting tolerance and inclusivity within their communities. The training sessions developed participants' critical thinking and emotional intelligence—key skills to resist radical influences. Feedback from participants indicated an improvement in their ability to analyze and dismantle polarizing narratives through their work as educators and learning facilitators. In addition, we developed and implemented innovative educational materials for learning facilitators, specifically designed for peace education. These materials focus on experiential learning, discussion-based modules, and real-life case studies to enhance their relevance and impact. We also emphasized transnational cooperation among participants and the organizations they represent. By facilitating opportunities for collaborative learning and shared goals, we built a strong network of professionals committed to peace education. Our project successfully achieved its objectives, transferring tools and skills to address social polarization and radicalization through comprehensive and engaging educational approaches. By empowering and strengthening the capacity of youth workers and learning facilitators, and promoting international cooperation, we created a lasting impact and a foundation for future peace education initiatives.
