Formed groups of two types of learning adults pursued two goals by participating in the project: 1. Developing the knowledge and skills of low-skilled employees of the day social care center, necessary for working with people with mental disabilities. 2. Development of social skills of visitors of the day social care center through activities in a partner institution. One group of learners participated in a work observation visit, while the other group participated in group mobility activities at two institutions in Poland. 10 learners had the opportunity to work together, observe and evaluate, get to know the activities of Polish social and educational institutions and acquire necessary and necessary knowledge and skills that they could apply in their work. 20 other learners had the opportunity to get involved in the activities of the international project and improved their social skills while visiting the partner institution.
The day social care unit provides general social services: information, consultation, mediation, organization of meals, personal hygiene, maintenance, organization of transport and day social care services: socio-cultural, development and support of social skills, development and support of working and life skills and others services needed according to the individual's level of independence. Visitors take part in various employment programs every day, where employment specialists aim to help them acquire new or maintain existing social skills, develop functional abilities, create opportunities for self-expression, learn to listen to others and be listened to, and develop a sense of self-confidence. Board and outdoor games, handicrafts, music classes, movement therapy, cooking classes, and gardening are also organized.
