Background

Panevėžys Education Center, like many adult educators, was affected by the unstable epidemiological situation in the country (Covid-19). The need for learners to work remotely, to improve IT and digital literacy competences has increased. Adult learners began to look for opportunities to learn how to work in a blended way, combining their work with a target group in the workplace and with individuals in a virtual environment. The center was constantly encouraged by learners to organize more IT competence strengthening courses, new IT application methodologies, presentations of their possibilities. The purpose of the institution is to provide innovative services provided by latest modern technologies. Although the employees of the education center are able to use the opportunities provided by smart technologies to individualize the educational process, and share professional experience with their colleagues in the city, there was a lack of digital literacy competencies, especially when reorganizing service provision and adapting it to today's needs.
