First of all, we still lack tools and methods that would help to properly identify the individual needs of our clients, so we sought to get to know and gain knowledge on how we can clearly recognize the need for help and accordingly effectively plan education, training or service provision activities. Secondly, we sought to get to know and establish new methodologies related to prevention and early intervention. This is important when dealing with crises in families. Thirdly, we sought to understand and adopt the experience of proper cooperation between various organizations and institutions and how institutions can be effectively involved in the family assistance process. Fourthly, customer motivation in the provision of support services is important to us, which is why we wanted to gain knowledge about various methods, methodologies, techniques for involving and motivating the customer to participate in the support process.
The institution provides training, education, counseling, psychosocial and other services to guardians, on duty guardians, adoptive parents or persons intending to become them. PPI organizes trainings, events, mutual support groups for clients, etc. Our organization is constantly looking for new methods, tools and ideas that help to improve the quality and accessibility of the services provided to clients. In Lithuania, very little attention is paid to the development and implementation of effective, reasonable methodologies and programs. As a result, there is a great need to gain experience in this field from partners with many years of experience and to prepare a methodology for assessing the needs of our clients, drawing up a plan and measuring the effectiveness of the applied educational measures. We also aim to learn and find out about preventive, early intervention methods in order to develop and strengthen the competences of guardians, adoptive parents, guardians on duty. Another area for improvement is the means of motivating and involving clients, ensuring successful care of children who have lost parental care, and working with clients of other cultures and nationalities and cooperation.
