Background

Sėta gymnasium is located at the boarders of Kėdainiai region. There are no big companies n our town, thus employment is really low. Consequently, a number of families live on a really low income. 37% of pupils are supported with free meals at school. This suggests that a large proportion of pupils are subjected to social exclusion. For more than 20 years, the gymnasium has been a member of the Lithuanian network of health promoting schools, which pays great attention to the health and physical activity of students and employees. Educators focus on proper lesson planning, ensuring the involvement of each student, monitoring and recording their individual progress. In order to help teachers organize lessons and other activities more successfully, we decided to devote more resources to improve the qualifications of teachers. The idea was approved by the Gymnasium council and we decided to take advantage of the capabilities of the Erasmus+ program and received such an opportunity with the ka122 project for action. Teachers actively discussed choosing training courses in order to gain ideas and knowledge for organizing students' activities, improving the quality of the lesson, and broadening their horizons .
