The main goal of the project is to improve the digital skills of teachers in order to integrate digital content into the educational environment and to prepare students for changes in the learning process, providing them with the 21st century. abilities and increasing their awareness of sustainability. Improving the competences of teachers aims to enable them to create dynamic and innovative learning environments, creating a classroom atmosphere that encourages students to cooperate and actively engage in activities. Our goal was to improve the ability of teachers and students to navigate, evaluate and use digital resources effectively, while promoting responsible and ethical digital practices. Analyzing digital tools and incorporating them into our teaching practices, we sought to apply innovative teaching methods in our gymnasium. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were set: 1. To improve the digital competences of teachers using ICT and digital educational content; 2. Create and constantly update the Digital Library; 3. Create interdisciplinary ecological-educational spaces, integrating digital content and using innovative teaching methods; 4. Gain knowledge and improve skills from foreign colleagues using Web 2.0 tools;
One of the priorities of the 2022-2024 strategic plan of "Vėtrungė" school is the professional improvement of digital literacy of pedagogues, using information communication technologies and digital educational content. The use of IT in the educational process creates conditions for creating an attractive, educational environment, improving cooperation between students and teachers, and creating a modern school. That's why we're committed to improving our digital skills and keeping up with the latest technology. The study "Improving Digital Competences" conducted at the gymnasium revealed that it is necessary to strengthen teachers' competencies and abilities to use digital tools in the educational process. In order to expand our knowledge and practical skills using Web 2.0 tools for teaching, we welcomed the opportunity to implement this Erasmus+ project. Participating in courses and a work observation visit in Turkey gave us a great opportunity to analyze many tools and methods that can be seamlessly integrated into our training. The content of the project was related to improving the quality of education by including digital tools. Using Web 2.0 tools, we aimed to create an engaging and interactive learning experience.
