The project aimed to improve teachers' competencies to create an inclusive learning environment for gifted and talented students. To achieve this goal, there were such following objectives implemented: * To improve teachers' essential educational competencies using team coaching and team learning methods; * To improve the abilities of students (basic and secondary education program) in learning to work and to cooperate in a team; * To form a team of teachers of various subjects, able to share good practice in developing students' individual abilities and successfully working with updated General Curricula.
Kaunas Jesuit High School students have high mental/educational abilities and they expect that their individual abilities would be further developed. Teachers who work with these students, notice that there is a lack of methods to educate gifted and talented students in our country. Teachers experience a need to develop their competencies to create an inclusive learning environment. The existing organization of group work in the gymnasium reveals the need for teachers to improve these skills. It is necessary for teachers to develop these essential skills by applying the basic education methods of team coaching and team learning, in which students' individual talents would be developed. Aiming to develop students' advanced mental/thinking skills, teachers will use the methods gained during the project and enable students to learn to work in a team, to choose a role that suits their nature and needs.
