The goals of the project are to adopt contemporary European experience, which will ensure quality changes in the educational process, enable the establishment of closer connections between school subjects and the use of innovative educational methods and ICT, as well as to strengthen teachers' professional, linguistic and cultural awareness competencies of other countries.
We live in a transition period when educational content programmes in Lithuanian schools are being updated. Teachers are being provided more freedom to choose part of the educational content in order to ensure a higher quality of general education. Teachers full of new ideas, striving for changes and innovations, capable of creating a modern, attractive and interactive learning environment for students are the ones who are supposed to work in a gymnasium. New learning methods are needed that enable collaborative work, linking knowledge and personal experience to the unexplored, creating interdisciplinary connections, and globally assessing emerging social, economic, and cultural issues.
