Objectives

The project included goals that we tried to meet throughout the project. The goals of the project were to increase the competitiveness of students, providing them with opportunities and favorable conditions to acquire diverse practices and become professionals in demand on the labor market. To improve the qualifications and motivation of school community members and professional teachers, developing new technologies and innovations. KBPVM planned to evaluate the indicators according to the involvement of students in the activities organized by the school: the number of events, initiatives and the number of participants. This indicator is really appreciated in our organization. An increased interest of students in projects and events was observed. Also student surveys and their results - feedback. The rate of student progress and its change compared to the previous year as well as the summary and change of student exam results, their employment rates and comparison with previous years: the number of employed persons who work according to the acquired qualifications and not. The latter indicators are very difficult to compare because the schools are very different and the results would not be reliable.

Background

We took over this project in the fall of 2022 from Kaunas School of Domestic Services and Business. Karalias Mindaugas Vocational Training Center is one of the largest vocational training institutions in Lithuania. During the period of more than 65 years of activity, the Center has earned the name of a reliable and competent educational institution not only in the eyes of students, but also in the eyes of partners. About 4 thousand students study at the center. Our center employs qualified specialists, provides high-quality formal and informal education services, offers attractive and promising specialties, and has a modern practical base. The center provides educational services in the following areas: secondary education (students aged 15-18); initial vocational training; adult education; preschool education (children aged 2-6). In this project, it was planned to implement mobilities in the fields of sewing and floristry for students and teachers. The goals of the project were to increase the competitiveness of students, providing them with opportunities and favorable conditions to acquire diverse practices and become professionals in demand on the labor market.
