Objectives

At the core of EHU's mission is the desire to engage Belarusian and Eastern European students in the shared European educational and research landscape. The aim is to allow them to study in EU countries, familiarize themselves with educational traditions, and learn about the rules and principles of studying and conducting research. It also represents a critical opportunity for financially constrained Belarusian and Eastern European students to participate in exchanges with EU higher education institutions. Most of our students are not from Lithuania, and our university allows them to participate in the Erasmus program, allowing them to gain knowledge about European values, practices, and the broader cultural context. This initiative helps bridge the gap between students from Eastern Europe and the European Union, enabling a deeper understanding of shared principles and ideals. First of all, we wanted to achieve the following goals within the project: 1. Allow students to broaden their academic and professional horizons by studying or training abroad in a different academic environment. 2. Strengthen our institution's international dimension by increasing the number of mobility opportunities for students and staff and enhancing our partnerships. 3. Support students in developing foreign language skills and experiencing new cultures, thus fostering greater cultural awareness and adaptability in a globalized world. 4. Ensure that students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds have equal access to mobility opportunities, aligning with Erasmus+ objectives of promoting social inclusion and diversity.
