Objectives

The project activities were implemented following the University's strategy for 2021-2025. The Strategy identifies the development of international cooperation as one of the key priorities. In accordance with KTU strategic documents and guidelines for the improvement of the study process, KTU encourages students to take advantage of mobility and to study at least for one semester at a foreign university. Currently we already integrated an obligatory mobility semester into all PhD study programs and are seeking to integrate a mobility window into BSc and MSc study programs in the near future. Action Plan for 2021 - 2025 foresees the digitalisation of Erasmus+ mobility processes and the establishment of a procedure for the recognition of international mobility activities of staff. Staff professional development has been identified as a priority activity: only talented, ambitious, innovative and motivated teachers can inspire students to become the leaders of the future, creating a cohesive, smart, creative and educated society. The activities of the Erasmus+ mobility project have contributed significantly to the University's strategic objectives and have helped to build a solid foundation for the University's internationalisation. These strategical goals shows on implemented mobility numbers: the implemented number of staff mobility for teaching exceeds approved number of participants by 64.24 %. Though we are still struggling with student motivation to go for an exchange semester abroad, we evaluate to result achieved as positive.
