By implementing this project, our overarching objective was to strengthen and expand the internationalization strategy of our institution on multiple levels—academic, cultural, and operational—through the valuable framework provided by the Erasmus+ program. As an international community, our goal was to create more meaningful cross-cultural conversations and support diversity in the context of a high-quality educational experience. By reaching this goal, the learning experience for everyone at our university is impacted positively. LCC has been actively working with partners in the USA, Canada, Asia, and Eastern Europe for many years. Our goals with this project included: Giving students more opportunities to study abroad and gain international experience. Ensuring our programs meet both local and international quality standards. Actively seeking international perspectives and content for our courses and research. Encouraging our staff to develop international skills and experience. Raising the international profile of our university. In short, this project was part of our long-term plan to become a more global, open, and connected university.
