The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) set internationalisation as a strategic priority in its Strategy 2030. The project expanded LMTA’s long-term cooperation with partners in Georgia, Ukraine, Israel and Senegal, building on previous exchanges and joint projects to create a structured and sustainable mobility framework aligned with European values of democracy, inclusion and intercultural dialogue. Its objectives were to: strengthen student and staff mobility in music, theatre, cinema and dance; improve the quality of education and research through best practice exchange and digital tools; promote intercultural dialogue and cultural relations; ensure inclusion by supporting less advantaged participants; contribute to institutional development in partner countries via student-centred learning and curriculum modernisation; and reinforce global networks through active participation in platforms such as AEC and CILECT. By achieving these aims, the project enhanced academic and artistic growth, supported the internationalisation of higher arts education, and promoted the role of arts institutions in addressing societal and global challenges.
