Our objectives were: 1. to develop a high-quality, short-term micro e-learning course tailored to target group needs; 2. to increase advanced digital skills and competences of NGO employees and self-employed adults; 3. to disseminate project results, informing the target groups in the project partner countries about the new opportunities created to develop their digital competencies and skills.
We applied for this project because we have identified by analysis and partners (from LT and CZ) experience, the lack of advanced digital skills and competences in setting up a high-quality website, used for marketing and single point of information about NGO or self-employed adults activities and services and attract potential users / clients. We have addressed the need of increased demand of skills in ICT sector, which has a widening gap between supply and demand of ICT specialists in the EU that creates obstacles to economic growth. Also, we have addressed the need of advanced digital skills in setting up a high-quality website to attract potential users / clients for NGO or self-employed adults who meet such problems as: they do not have an IT specialists or persons with an advanced digital skills and competences in their staff; they do not have sufficient funds hire another company for the development of the professional website; companies that create professional websites are not interested in creating low-budget websites, which makes it difficult to find website developers; if the website was created by another person / company, the website owners faces with problems maintaining and updating their websites.
