Background

Three categories of participants, representing some of the group most impacted by the COVID-19, were accompanied to tell their stories of adaptation and transformation following the pandemic and to build on that to strengthen skills like flexibility, problem solving, coping and creativity using artistic methods. The target groups have been chosen as resulted to be particularly negatively impacted by the COVID from a psycho-social point of view: older/disabled people as most at risk of developing complication and thus most affected by self-isolation measures; people with mental health issues as most exposed to suffer severe distress ad an effect of the pandemic; health care professionals, whose engagement during the peak of the crisis has increased risk of professional fatigue and burn out. Since project partners are all working directly with these target groups offering programmes and interventions to promote well-being, resilience and inclusion, the project benefited partner organizations as well as it was an opportunity for upskilling of staff as well as to learn and pilot new strategies and tools which - when proved successful and replicable - can be incorporated in the standard offer of the organizations themselves.
