Objectives

By implementing the project, we aimed to enhance VET education by introducing the flipped learning model, equipping educators with innovative strategies, and engaging students through inclusive teaching approaches. Our objectives included developing the Toolkit of Flipped Classroom Resources and the Flipped Learning In-Service Training Programme, training 60 VET educators to adopt these methods, and fostering a transnational community of practice among educators from six countries. We also prioritized the dissemination of results through events such as Flipped Learning Festivals and the Final Conference, as well as a multilingual website, newsletters, and social media channels. By modernizing teaching methods, promoting inclusivity, and aligning education with labor market needs, the project aimed to create a lasting impact on educators, students, and the broader educational landscape.

Background

We applied for this project to address the challenges revealed by the COVID-19 crisis in European education, particularly the need for flexible and effective blended-learning approaches. The flipped learning model was chosen for its adaptability and ability to foster critical future skills such as problem-solving, creative thinking, and collaboration. The project addressed gaps in teacher training by equipping educators with the tools to implement flipped learning effectively. It also focused on engaging marginalized students and involving parents to enhance the overall learning process. Furthermore, the creation of modern, engaging resources in fields like Entrepreneurship, IT, Environmental Sciences, and Sales and Marketing ensured alignment with evolving societal and labor market needs.
