EVEA goals: The aim of the European Association for the Eifel and Ardennes (EVEA), shaped by the past of its founders in the 1950s, is to prepare young people from different countries for their future adult lives and for peaceful coexistence in Europe through encounters. She would also like to make a contribution to the EU youth strategy through the meetings currently taking place. As part of the Erasmus accreditation, which is intended to last several years, EVEA organizes and carries out activities for cross-border exchange and cooperation across borders and regularly organizes non-formal learning mobility activities. Activities will use appropriate and effective practices and measures to achieve high quality learning outcomes for the benefit of young people. Objectives of EVEA accreditation: Through the strategic orientation of the accreditation, the EVEA wants to improve the quality of its cross-border youth work, taking into account overarching goals such as strengthening the personal and professional development of young people, their participation in community life and the promotion of important key skills. Based on this, EVEA has set six central goals for the implementation of its activities in the accreditation period 2022 - 2027: 1. Acquisition of intercultural competence 2. Gain language experience: Better understanding through better communication 3. Getting to know our living space: nature, environment and sustainability 4. Strengthening digital competence 5. Raise awareness of health through exercise and nutrition 6. Get to know similarities and differences in ART and CULTURE Achieving these goals was the focus of the youth encounters and activities carried out during the project period from June 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023, including the preparatory meetings (APV), in which a total of almost 300 young people and their carers took part. By aligning the overall project with these six goals, on the one hand the specific needs and interests of the participants were taken into account, but on the other hand it was also possible to actively contribute to the implementation of the strategic goals of the Erasmus+ program. In this way, overarching goals of European educational and cultural policy were supported while at the same time specific, locally relevant topics were addressed.
