When we created the "Save the Planet" project, environmental degradation was already a critical global issue. Today, the urgency to address climate change, pollution, and promote sustainable practices has only increased. Our natural ecosystems are under threat, and immediate action is needed to protect our planet for future generations. The topic remains highly relevant, reflecting the growing concern among young people about the future of our environment. The topic of environmental sustainability was and is important to all partners involved in this project and their target groups. Each partner organization works with young people who are deeply affected by environmental issues in their countries. It was clear during the project that the participants from Georgia, Armenia, Greece, Lithuania, Italy, and Luxembourg faced unique ecological challenges, from deforestation and pollution to climate change impacts. Addressing these issues through education and active participation is crucial for empowering our youth to become agents of change. We aimed to achieve several key goals by implementing the "Save the Planet" project: Raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices among young people. Foster a sense of responsibility and active citizenship in participants. Create a platform for sharing ideas, experiences, and best practices related to environmental sustainability. Build a network of environmentally conscious young leaders who can drive change in their local communities. The project had several specific objectives: Promote sustainability by teaching participants the meaning and importance of sustainable practices. Create a space for young people to exchange their thoughts and learn from each other. Help participants understand the ecological situation in different countries and develop a sense of ecological awareness. Inspire young people to take active roles in their communities and promote environmental sustainability. Promote values like diversity, respect, solidarity, and equality among participants. Challenge participants’ behaviors and equip them with new ways of personal expression and community involvement. Lead a campaign against climate change and environmental degradation. Highlight the benefits of participating in Erasmus+ programs. The "Save the Planet" project has direct links with the objectives of the Erasmus+ program, which aims to support education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. Our project contributed to these goals by promoting lifelong learning and active citizenship, enhancing the skills and competencies of young people, and fostering cooperation and understanding across different cultures. Through a 10-day mobility in Kobuleti and a social campaign, we aimed to share our results and motivate others to save the planet. This collaborative effort reflects the essence of Erasmus+, emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural exchanges and collective action needed to address global challenges like environmental degradation.
