Objectives

In the development of the project were set 2 main objectives: 1. Awareness of the importance of environmental education in the understanding of learners and updating it in curricula. 2. Improving the competence of digital skills in ensuring a high-quality learning process. The goals of the project are closely related to the development plan of Naukšēni Secondary School, which formulates the identification, updating and gradual introduction of environmental education in curricula and development of digital skills, which will enable the introduction of digital tools in the learning process and extracurricular activities, educational content, planning and organization of hybrid lessons. Naukšēni Secondary School implements 4 different educational programs - the knowledge acquired by teachers during the implementation of the project would be applied in all programs implemented at the school, i.e. cover all school students, as well as various out-of-school environmental projects and camps.

Background

In the current period, Naukšēni Secondary School is facing several needs and challenges. Based on the National Education Development Guidelines, the Erasmus plus program guidelines and the school development plan, an Erasmus development plan was developed and 3 topical issues were formulated. 1. Identifying and updating the environmental sustainability education. This is due to the need to introduce environmental education into the curriculum and the involvement in new international environmental sustainability projects. 2. The need to improve digital skills competence. At the heart of this goal is the need to develop teachers 'digital competences to promote pupils' teaching and learning, collaboration and creativity, to learn how to design and manage curricula, to motivate pupil engagement and to increase academic and examination results, and to implement planned Erasmus + and Nordplus projects. . 3. Attracting and educating new teachers. Motivate and educate new colleagues.
