1.By attending the teacher training course in Portugal (Cultvating Futures) 4 teachers of our school acguired the knowledge of importance of environmental responsibility and the princips of 6R. The knowledge is used in every day work to prepare the lessons and educate the students in different subjects. 2.By attending the teacher training course in Italy (JUMP) 4 teachers of our school acguired the knowledge and improved the understanding of the methodology of organizing the outdoor lessons. Durring the courses, teachers got practical ideas how to create outdoor activities under conditions using natural resources. Different ideas were learnt for math lessons- how to make calculations in nature- measure the heights of trees, draw a plan to a certain scale. The participants of these courses particularly emphasized the excellent opportunity to improve the English language skills. 3.Digital storytelling by making a film as a method of teaching was acguired during the courses by 3 teachers in Crete ( eLearning Lab;University of Crete). The courses were good advanced IT knowledge and skills and the English language. The given method is suitable for project work lessons of various subjects, as students learn to create and animate a film (Digital Art) on various topics. Innovative projects of this type will promote the digital literacy of students and teachers. 4.English communication and grammar skills for teachers of various subjects to be able to easier integrate materials developed in English into the learning process were acguired by 3 teachers during the teacher training cours in Iceland (Smart Teachers Play more). Course organizers used the Smartenglish methodology, which is based on repeating language knowledge in different ways: in activities, learning and understanding both words and grammar. An idea was gained about the Icelandic education system, visited a local school. Course participants gained significant baggage of knowledge of the English language, and motivation to continue learning and improve it.The acguired knowledge was used in chemistry, biology and visual arts lessons. The teachers got ideas and made a creative game.
Development Plan for Aizpute Secondary School: • The school - a modern environment where high quality education that meets latest requirements is provided; a place that encourages the personality to develop creativity and feel belonging. • To introduce and master the implementation of the improved,competency-based curriculum approach (School 2030) and initiate a new assessment approach for pupils. • To improve digital skills, learn new teaching methods and digital tools, develop sustainable lifestyle and critical thinking skills in pupils. • To improve and emphasize the importance of socio-emotional communication in everyday learning process. The guidelines of our school coincide with the ERASMUS+ program guidelines and the Education Development Goals for 2021-2027 where an access to regular, continuous, effective and personalized professional development for every teacher is stated. Attendance of 4 different courses promoted the achievement of the goals of the development plan of Aizpute secondary school.
