Objectives

We wanted to improve English language skills and social skills, promote the acquisition of various knowledge, and explore good pedagogical practices using digital tools. Building new relationships among students from different countries. By using digital tools, we can not only enhance language skills but also promote knowledge and good pedagogical practices. We wanted to establish new relationships and collaboration skills among students from different countries. We wanted to promote students' deeper understanding of culture, religion, school systems, diversity of societal models, and strengthen global awareness. We recognized the importance of promoting knowledge and good pedagogical practices, and believed that including digital tools in our curriculum would significantly enhance the learning experience. By using these tools, our goal was to establish new relationships between our students and students from other countries, providing them with opportunities to communicate and learn. Through this project, our aim was to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students could not only improve their language skills, but also develop a global perspective and cultural understanding.

Background

Located in a rural area, Palsmanes Elementary School is a diverse community with students from various family backgrounds. Among the student population, 42% come from large families, while 4 students are part of foster families. Additionally, some students' families face financial hardships and social challenges. Due to limited resources, most students have limited travel experiences. To address these challenges, we have implemented a project aimed at providing students with unique opportunities to enhance their language and social skills, forge connections with students from different countries and cultures, improve English proficiency, and broaden their horizons. This project is not only beneficial for students but also offers professional development opportunities for our educators. Through continuous self-education and learning new skills, teachers are expanding their pedagogical practices, embracing digital tools, and fostering interdisciplinary learning experiences. The Erasmus+ project has not only enhanced our school's growth and development but has also positively impacted the entire community. Together, we are creating a more inclusive and globally-minded learning environment for our students.
