Objectives

When implementing the Erasmus+ project, we wanted to achieve the set objectives: 1. improve the professional training and competencies of students and teachers in their specialty; 2. introduce EU standards and the world standards system; 3. improve foreign language and communication. 4. involved students from vulnerable groups.

Background

We applied for the Erasmus+ project because we need to be like EU countries in terms of the technologies used. We need to improve many sectors of the national economy. Our VET school trains and prepares future biotechnologists, analytical chemistry technicians, etc. These are professions, and educational programs that can only be acquired in Latvia at our VET school, therefore we should improve the skills of and train future employees for the competitive different industrial sectors. Within the framework of the project, the project participants were allowed to strengthen their existing knowledge, supplement it, and improve their professional competencies. Today, a successful employee is a person who has practical and good communication skills.During the internship, participants of the mobilities got to know and worked with the latest and most modern devices, equipment, and research methods, and communicated in English.Six students from vulnerable groups were involved in the project. We implemented the project in partnership with partners, because their material base, technical capabilities, and training methods allowed the project participants to implement this project and achieve the set objectives and tasks in the project period.
