Objectives

In implementing the ERASMUS+ programme KA131 activity project for student and staff mobility between programme countries, RTU Latvian Maritime Academy (LMA) wanted to achieve the set LMA internationalisation goal by increasing the number of participants in student and staff mobility in order to achieve LMA strategic aim - to provide mobility opportunities for 5% of LMA students and 10% of LMA staff, including teachers. As a result of the implementation of the project, 6.6% of LMA students were provided mobility opportunities, assuming that the average number of students during the period from 2022 to 2024 was 500 students per academic year, and 24.29% of LMA staff, assuming that on average around 140 employees worked in the LJA during the implementation period of the project. Compared to the previous mobility period, when 4.57% of LMA students participated in mobility, mobility opportunities were provided by 1.85 percentage points more students, as well as by 10.96 percentage points more employees compared to the previous mobility period, when 13.33% of LJA employees went to mobility. During the project implementation period, 100% of all funding allocated to mobility was implemented and the set LMA internationalisation objectives were achieved.
