Objectives

The cooperation of the European Christian Academy (ECA) with Bethlehem University (BeU) has very old roots since 1995, when ECA started participating in the international archaeological excavations organized by the Israel Antiquities Authorities and the Rockefeller Archaeological Museum. Community social work is developed in BeU because there is no social security system. ECA implements the Caritative Social Work program based on European social cohesion. This methodology is effective because the European social policy is presented together with the knowledge about the person, which includes the actualities of the social policy (The New Knowledge Economy of Europe, The New European Consensus on Development “Our World, Our Dignity, Our Future”, The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030) etc.). Teaching staff from BeU will present “Community work with families”. Master’s students will study the topic of the roles of men and women in the community and family, giving valuable insights to the master’s students of supervision. ECA teaching staff would give lectures at BeU on the Development and importance of the “ancient innovation” of social work in European countries; Activities of Caritative Social Work Supervisor.
