Background

The necessity of this project had its origins in the need of enhancing the motivation for learning about Diversity, in the social context and students' willingness to become more Active Citizens of European Future. The project was focused on not just nation diversity, but also diversity of people, as individual because it put together people with SEN and without SEN. The project aims to draw attention to the unit in its distinctiveness and individuality, as well as to pupils with different special educational needs. The need of educational and social inclusion of vulnerable pupils who may feel themselves at the border of society was one of the priorities of all European and national strategies. In 2018, an average of 10.6 % of young people (aged 18-24) in the EU were early leavers from education and training. Each school of our partnership had different number of students with SEN (Such as dyslexia, dyscalculia or hearing disorders, mental development disorders) and students with social problems, fewer possibility and most of them had experience in educational work with these kind of students. These children need more attention and encouragement to become active and self confident European citizens in the future.
