Objectives

During the implementation stage of the project we were working mainly on the following objectives: - Developing skills and knowledge among youngsters and youth workers: To equip youngsters, including those from marginalized backgrounds such as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), with essential skills, knowledge, and practical experience in topics beyond formal education, including social entrepreneurship, creative skills, mental health, and "School of Life" subjects like sex education and self-reflection. Addresses the lack of motivation, career guidance, creative skills, and non-formal education tools observed among youngsters, particularly those facing challenges such as social exclusion and lack of opportunities. - Promoting inclusion and integration: To create opportunities for youngsters, especially those with fewer opportunities and from NEET backgrounds, to participate in international activities such as Youth Exchanges, fostering cultural awareness, solidarity, and integration with European nations. Addresses the lack of inclusion, integration with internationals, and critical thinking observed among youngsters, particularly those with fewer opportunities and from NEET backgrounds. - Building capacity and sharing best practices: To enhance the capacity of youth workers to effectively engage with youngsters from marginalized backgrounds and to share best practices in areas such as social entrepreneurship and non-formal education. Link to identified needs: Addresses the limited efforts by partner organizations in working with people with fewer opportunities and NEET categories, as well as the lack of non-formal education activities and sharing of best practices in relevant areas. These objectives aim to address the identified challenges and needs, ultimately leading to the creation of a more inclusive, educated, and empowered society where youngsters are better equipped to navigate challenges, pursue meaningful careers, and lead fulfilling lives. By focusing on skill development, inclusion, and capacity-building, the project seeks to bring about tangible benefits for both the target audience and the organizations involved. Throughout the project, we actively pursued our objectives and aims through the utilization of non-formal learning methods, interactive games, and leadership initiatives. We recognized the effectiveness of non-formal learning in engaging participants and fostering a dynamic learning environment conducive to skill development and knowledge acquisition. Through interactive games, we promoted active participation and experiential learning, allowing participants to grasp concepts in a hands-on manner. Additionally, our emphasis on leadership initiatives provided opportunities for participants to develop essential leadership skills while addressing the project's overarching goals. By integrating these approaches into our activities, we ensured that our project effectively engaged participants, promoted learning, and facilitated the attainment of our objectives. The Youth Worker Mobility’s main topic was focused on mindfulness: improvement of the connection between mind, body and nature, understanding the differences between eastern and western concepts of human nature, as well as providing participants authentic dialogue on human mind; exercises to develop equanimity and connect with one ́s mind, body, and environment; and ways to provide support to others. Thus, Young Folks LV, through different activities, wanted to supplement workers’ knowledge about mindfulness and awareness. The project gave an opportunity to participants to reflect on how they can implement gained knowledge further. Additionally, we provided a safer space, where participants could set their own boundaries during the training course. Objectives: Identify common factors and responses to the unbalanced state of mind in professional and personal life. Equip participants with basic knowledge of the western and eastern concepts of the human mind: emotion, cognition, and behaviour. Connect participants ́ minds, bodies, and environment through reflection, embodied learning, and nature activities. Develop the ability to explore and understand oneself. Improve self-awareness, self-compassion, self-acceptance, and inner peace through self-reflection and group work. Provide participants with skills in psychological support for young people. Encourage a share of good practices for improving well-being amongst participants. Develop together material to emphasise the importance of mental health care.
