Objectives

Out of the 8 million species worldwide, encompassing all plant and animal varieties, 1 million are endangered, with at least 1677 of Europe's 15,060 species facing endangerment. Recent measurements indicate that mollusks and mussels are the most endangered species. In the contemporary context, various global organizations grapple with diverse challenges. However, our focus was on introducing young people to these issues through the Erasmus+ project. This initiative facilitated the exchange of national experiences, shedding light on the campaigns established in different countries to safeguard specific species. Delving into how each country contends to prevent the inclusion of species in the Red Book, the project empowered young individuals to initiate their own campaigns, effectively reaching diverse audiences across various age groups. The project not only provided a platform for gaining new knowledge and skills but also imparted creative techniques that individuals can integrate into their daily lives to preserve endangered species and plants. The younger generation is now more cognizant of the annual influx of endangered species and is equipped with the understanding of what actions can be taken to maintain these species at normal levels, preventing them from becoming too numerous.
