At the moment, this is one of the most requested topics. The problem with ecology, specifically waste recycling has existed. Our main goal of the project, an integral part of our mission, was to reach an understanding from the participants, and to contribute to the formation of a special attention to the ecological aspects of the planet. We wanted them to see things from a different perspective. Things that may seem to have a small impact on our planet, but when taken together can lead to a global catastrophe. For example, all of the participants knew that there are bins for sorting rubbish, but only a few actually sorted their waste. During the excursion to Getlini they saw with their own eyes how much easier it is to recycle sorted rubbish. When the participants had a master class about souvenirs made of rubbish, they realised that it is not always necessary to throw things away when you can give them a second life. Or not to throw things away, but to give them to charity, to a second hand or to a recycling centre. We wanted to try to inform the participants how our "clean" world should look like in the future. in the world for several years. Even Jacques-Yves Cousteau said: "Water and air, the two basic elements on which all life depends, have become global garbage cans." Many people know about this problem, yet they go about their daily lives doing nothing to prevent it. Since it is not enough just to talk about this topic, we wanted thus to raise awareness of this topic not only for the participants, but also try to expand its sphere of influence. But as part of the project, we wanted to convey the thought to the participants that if each of us, does not start doing something for the earth, nothing will change in the world. But since we cannot change anything globally alone, we wanted to share our feelings on the subject matter and demonstrate it to the participants of our project, because not everything can be understood by lecturing, especially problems of such magnitude. One of the problems is that people think that others will fix their problems for them. But in the modern world, things work a little differently. Many people don't realize how serious the problems can get in the near future if we don't start to change. There is no need to remain silent about this, we wanted to inform the project participants to people what they are doin with the planet. We want for the participants to change their view on the situation at hand. So that our generation gets to know more on the benefits of recycling, waste sorting and in general be aware of the environmental problem, not only in our region, but the rest of the world too. To achieve responsibility from everyone who will take part in our project. Responsibility for the conse quences of actions that have caused harm to the environment. To fix that, we want to do something good for the environment, for example plant some trees, remove garbage off the streets etc… With our project, we wanted to show the participants that sometimes small changes lead to big changes. Whether it's a reusable water bottle or an extra one, take a plastic bag to the store. We don't think it's that hard to sort garbage and make home made compost, which will increase the percentage of recycled waste.
