Background

As European Youth goals define well-being and mental health as priority aspects of a life of young person and a priority area to be thoroughly paid attention to when developing up-to-date policy initiatives and youth work responses. Due to COVID‐19 crisis it has had a negative effect on people mental health. The impact of the unresolved burnout is very wide: the psycho-emotional health and well-being of young people, the turnover of workers effects on employers, mental and physical illnesses that affect the health system and state budget. It is crucial that youth workers and organizations working with young people would be equipped with educational approaches, methodologies and tools to enable and empower youth professionals to take care of their mental health and strengthen their psycho emotional well-being. The project addressed to this need and wanted to raise the capacity of youth workers through offering possibility to develop their competences on well-being issues, dealing with stress and a range of different reasons causing stress and burnout. It also developed innovative, adaptable and ready-to-use wellbeing training program’s implementation guidelines that can be used in organizations which employ youth workers.
