The teacher to gain new skills of ART-Therapy, psychical fitness, antistressor and other mindfulness techniques. 3.To get more motivated students who will become more open for communication and gain self-confidence. By reaching our goals we are going to establish a classroom environment that positively supports mental health and support our students individually when needed.

Background

COVID-19 has impacted the lives of people around the world including children and adolescents in an unprecedented manner. Various countries started implementing regional and national containment measures or lockdowns. In this backdrop one of the principal measures taken during lockdown has been closure of schools, educational institutes and activity areas. These inexorable circumstances which are beyond normal experience, lead to stress, anxiety and a feeling of helplessness in all. In young children and adolescents the pandemic and lockdown have a greater impact on emotional and social development compared to that in the grown-ups. Guided by the survey conducted on students and staff at our school, there was a need to implement a project in which our students will be more actively involved. They said that during the pandemic they faced lack of physical activity, socialization, non-channeled energy, anxiety, increased impatience and aggression. The survey shown rising levels of anxiety and depression amongst students, compared to years before pandemic. Therefore, we create this project in order teachers to gain innovative techniques and methods for better mental health for them and for their students.
