Our project successfully provided learners with firsthand experience at renowned VET providers across Europe, equipping them with high-level key skills and competences essential for their entry into the labor market. Through the project, learners were introduced to cutting-edge technologies and innovative methods relevant to their future career fields, preparing them to effectively solve problems and contribute meaningfully in their chosen industries. As a result of the project, learners returned with a sustainable foundation of practical knowledge, which they have since shared with their peers as part of follow-up activities. The project facilitated intercultural understanding and appreciation among participants, who immersed themselves in the culture of the host countries, promoting linguistic and cultural diversity as integral components of their educational experience. Furthermore, the professional development of our staff was significantly enhanced through exposure to new ideas and methodologies, contributing to ongoing improvements in our educational system.
Our primary context with this Erasmus+ project in relation to our school has been to enhance the quality of vocational education and training (VET), empowering our learners, especially those facing barriers, to achieve greater independence upon completing their educational journey. We aimed to equip them with skills and competences that are universally applicable. However, we recognized a limitation in relying solely on local companies to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Thus, we sought opportunities beyond our borders to expose both learners and staff to internationally recognized companies collaborating with VET institutions. The training provided focused on developing practical skills and competences essential for achieving high-level proficiency. Our emphasis was on ensuring that these acquired skills and competences could be effectively shared with fellow learners and staff members. Notably, our priority was to offer learners facing barriers the chance to immerse themselves in an international setting, while also enabling our staff to undergo European training that could be integrated back into our educational system.
