Objectives

With this project, we focused on the 3 main needs that we have identified, and for which we and our partners are motivated to work to improve the situation in our realities: - the need for professionalisation of youth work - this need has already been identified by most of the partners working in the youth field. At the same time, the partners which are formal education schools have a need to update their direct work with youth. We as partners in this project are in constant need of an organisational development process that will allow us to structure our work, apply transparent procedures and identify the possibilities of working on our mission. We all have learned that it's important to support organisational development constantly, in order to be better prepared to face different challenges we might encounter. - the need for digital readiness of young people and youth workers/educators/professionals - The previous 3 years showed us that we as a society were not ready and prepared well to move the youth work online because of the lack of tools, methods and appropriate platforms. On the other hand, digital skills are very important for youngsters for their daily work and providing job opportunities. Digital readiness can help youngsters work and earn from home and be more competitive in the labour market in future and can increase their employability. For organisations and schools, the digital skills of their staff are important in order to be able to provide blended learning possibilities for youngsters. - the need for increasing the active participation of young people in society and in creating youth policies - we believe that they first need to learn to express their needs and the issues that concern them or hinder their active participation and their personal and professional development; second, to have more spaces and opportunities to dialogue with authorities or create links with other entities that can support them in acquiring key competencies for such participation. Together with the partners, we concluded the following general objectives for the project: - updating of non-formal education methodologies and tools; - developing digital skills among youth workers, teachers/educators and young people; - educating young people about their rights and obligations as active European citizens and participating in everyday life with concrete suggestions and practices. We executed 4 mobilities in the scope of this project, namely 2 Professional Development Activities and 2 Youth Exchanges. The objectives of the 1st Professional Development Activity "Youth's checklist" were: - to help youth workers and teachers/educators in understanding the concept of Youth goals - to provide and share tips, tricks and working practices in the field of youth policies - to explore possibilities for youth workers to motivate and include youngsters to be active participants in the decision-making in their communities. The objectives for the 2nd Professional Development Activity "Next train to virtuality" were: - to explore the concept of digital transformation of youth work - to explore updated digital tools and platforms - to tackle the issues that young people face from the wrong usage of the Internet - to discover the most pragmatic ways for young people and youth workers to use the Internet potential - to test apps/websites/platforms that can be used in formal and non-formal education. The objectives for the 1st youth exchange "Green practice makes perfect green" were: - to introduce the concept of green practices - to empower young people to adopt green practices in their daily life - to explore the effects of climate change - to develop online and offline local campaigns targeted to young people. The objectives for the 2nd youth exchange "Into the Virtual" were: - to introduce the concept of Artificial Intelligence (AI) - to explore the possibilities for working and learning online - to kickstart the journey of working with digital platforms - to explore the potential of popular apps.
