Objectives

Forests are not just a collection of trees and treelets that we see outside. When it comes to the forest, it contains a unique ecological system with trees, soil, air, water, other woody plants, microorganisms, and animals. In other words, it is an ecosystem that has a unique energy flow, nutrient cycles, physiographic factors, and living species that keep up with all of them, and all of them can create their development dynamics by mutually affecting each other. It is the type of ecosystem with the highest eco-diversity. When it comes to forestry, it is a branch of science that has activities carried out with its scientific techniques and methods such as planning forests and all kinds of forest-related natural resource inventory, establishing management, and serving this. The main goal of forestry is to create and develop systems that will ensure the sustainability of all-natural resources and services belonging to the forest. The main function of forestry is to provide the needs of the society, which is met from forests, while at the same time ensuring the healthy continuation of the forest resource and other natural resources affected by the forest. The awareness that this is the duty of all citizens, not just the authorities, should be instilled in the citizens and it must be sustainable to ensure the ecological balance that is vital for living things. However, some factors damage this sustainability. One of these factors is illegal logging in our country and the world. Although illegal logging is widespread around the world, it is not on the agenda enough. Therefore, the continuation of these events shows that the legal and security measures taken are insufficient. This is not just the responsibility of government officials or environmentalists, but the common responsibility of all citizens of the world. For people to survive, our forests must be protected. There is a need to reduce illegal logging rates by raising the awareness of society about the damage done to the ecosystem by unconscious cutting. Our objectives: - Realizing the benefits of forests to the ecosystem and increasing green movement supporters, - Raising awareness on this issue by bringing the issue of illegal logging to the agenda, - Including young people and decision-makers in decision making mechanisms to evaluate the measures taken by governments on illegal logging and to take more effective measures, -Investigating the reasons for ignoring this crime and developing our mobile application that will facilitate the reporting network, - Enabling the participating youth to see that the total tree wealth in the world has decreased by using statistical data and to warn their environment about this issue, -Warning citizens to understand the causes and consequences of illegal logging and to take action towards the development of deterrent measures, - Increasing the visibility of Erasmus Plus and enabling more young people to benefit from this opportunity, -To inspire those who want to develop projects, - Promoting the active participation of young people in society, - Gaining basic skills that contribute to the personal and socio-educational development of young people, - Developing participants’ skills in areas related to their professional development and thus increasing their employability, - Providing non-formal and informal learning opportunities for young people and youth workers, - Raising awareness of the youth for a sustainable ecosystem and forest existence for future generations, supporting the green movement, - Encouraging young people to develop social awareness and to take part in national and international decision processes, - To produce projects related to global problems of NGOs, national and international organizations, - Contributing to the development of new institutional practices and increasing the quality of youth, - Increasing participation in democratic life, - Elimination of prejudices regarding differences and reduction of discriminatory attitudes, - Giving opportunities for people with limited opportunities to develop themselves, - Expanding the fight against the environment and climate change, - Providing more people with access to information with the increase of social platforms and applications will improve digital transformation.
