Youth exchange “Tolerance is a sign of strength” aimed at countering influences that lead to fear and exclusion of others and to help young people to develop capacities for independent judgment, critical thinking, and ethical reasoning. The project gathered participants, from very different backgrounds and cultures, which was a treasure that enriched our project. Partner organizations united for the youth exchange, represent different parts of the world. They demonstrated countries with different backgrounds, histories, and traditions. It highlighted again that the aim of promoting tolerance, mutual understanding, principles, and values is not only that other people know about them, but rather they understand and they can live with them. The YE "The Tolerance is a Sign of Strength" offered our participants the opportunity to become familiar with different countries' inter-ethnic coexistence, make valuable contacts, exchange useful examples, and replicate them back home. The main goal of the project “Tolerance is a sign of strength” was to promote tolerance, pluralism, and respect. Additionally, exchanging ‘best practice’ experiences of multicultural societies, and encouraging cross-border cooperation were one of the main goals of the project. This project helped young people to develop a tolerant attitude and respect for multiculturalism. In this way, young participants create an inclusive atmosphere with European values and support people from other countries and people with special needs respecting their gender, religion, and culture, and helping with social, physical, and mental problems. Another thing we wanted to develop was the ability to reflect on race and gender issues so that later these young people could make the right attitude when confronted with a real situation. Project objectives were the following: • To increase youngsters ‘knowledge about different cultures/histories/religions; • To develop creativity and involvement of young people in civil life through promoting “Erasmus +” opportunities among them. • To unite youngsters from different backgrounds, nations, and cultures; • To learn how to respect each opinion and break stereotypes through conducting evaluation and discussion with young people from other countries; • To promote good neighborly relations between the EU Members and the non-EU States and to provide space for friendship and relationship through art and culture.
