Objectives. Marginalized youth had become a worldwide problem. Today’s youth were under stress as never before; reasons were different, but the result was the same – they were caught up in a dangerous lifestyle. The level of the problem, as well as the ways to solve it, varied in different countries and regions, and alternative methods such as art and game therapy were needed to support classic social work and therapy. So, this was the main reason to bring youth workers from different regions together, to discuss and share the best practices. We knew well the good track record of our partners and were inspired by the alternative methods they used in their practice. The issue of marginalized youth was at the top of the European agenda at that time; more and more youngsters became vulnerable and needed professional support to deal with their limited opportunities based on various obstacles, such as drug addiction, deviant behavior, psycho-social problems, NEETS (youngsters in the street), etc. Now, with new global challenges affecting young people - such as Covid-19 restrictions, isolation, significant impacts on mental health, as well as insecurity due to several war conflicts - the growth of youth marginalization became even more urgent. These target groups, depending on top needs, varied from country to country and may also have been similar, but youth and social workers had the same challenging task of finding ways to help them. The selected partner network had developed a wide experience in working with young people in the field of psychological counseling and support in different countries over the past years, developing its methodology based on the vision that it was easier for marginalized youth to build trustworthy relationships in an informal atmosphere, without pressure and severe control, which emphasized the need to invest in the creation of an informal and non-formal help system to assist these target groups with alternative, creative, artistic methods as therapy. The project aimed to offer youth workers an opportunity to undertake a learning and professional experience exchange in using alternative methods such as games and art therapy, to empower their networking and ultimately benefit their target groups – different types of marginalized youth. The objectives were: to have an exchange of alternative, artistic methods for working with marginalized young people to realize the specifics of various marginalized youth target groups to notice the ways of adapting working methods from one vulnerable youngster group to another to understand the logics of non-formal education methods and be able to create new methods to be aware of the need for digitalization and be able to adapt known methods to the digital environment to combine each other’s methods and practically apply them for a specific marginalized target group here and now, during the activity to create a toolkit of alternative artistic methods as tools for working with marginalized youth to build a strong partner network and a foundation for future cooperation within the sector, preparing for the follow-up phase
