Through our project we aimed to promote environmental awareness and knowledge through digital literacy and digital storytelling techniques for an efficient encouragement of sustainability. In order to do this, we broke down into 3 main operational objectives: 1. Developed staff competencies and organizational capacities in using non-formal education (NFE) methodology to enhance the active involvement of adults. 2. Enhanced staff competencies and organizational capacities in using digital storytelling as a tool for communication and raising awareness about environmental challenges. 3. Established long-term partnerships and regular exchange of information and good practices with European organizations working in the field of Erasmus+ Adult.
Stichting Rajodoon, our non-profit organization, is dedicated to advancing adult education and fostering social inclusion, with a specific focus on civil issues and promoting equality among individuals from diverse racial backgrounds. Our mission involves enhancing staff competencies, improving communication, and building partnerships with European organizations in the adult education sector. Our organization identified a need in the NFE approach in the educational and training sector through discussions with adults and children at the local and European levels. This is how our project "Digitalization for Environment" got centered around short-term mobility through activities like Job Shadowing and Training Courses to cultivate skills and knowledge in adult education. More specifically, the project sought to address the need for action on the faults of the NFE approach in the educational and training sectors, as well as to contribute to the creation of narrative techniques and environmental awareness campaigns. The architecture of the project included the use of narrative approaches, awareness campaigns, and inclusive principles as primary instruments to produce efficient learning results.
