The approach towards teaching was to change to a more entrepreneurial/inclusive way of teaching. One of our strategic goals as organisation is entrepreneurial learning. Entrepreneurial education uses opportunities within the organisation and outside. Obtaining, seeing or exploiting opportunities requires partnership, knowledge of the developments in the market, a flexible attitude and the same structure of the teaching programme. We became aware that the realization that the study path is more important than the goal, so trial and error in the learning process has to be accepted and encouraged. DO something with the knowledge or gain knowledge by DOING are both essential: a large part of the curriculum has to do with career development for the students through discovering and developing talent. This has to be done including students with a "rucksack" and pupils with multiethnic/disadvantaged background, aiming at real inclusive education. We wanted to be sure that there will be long sustaining cooperation between educational institutions/teachers for an exchange of methods. Besides this we looked for the right courses to develop this way of pedagogical and didactic concept of teaching.
The fundamental issue of the project is to enhance entrepreneurial based learning and inclusive education by creating a well trained staff prepared to boost in terms of international experience what the school can offer to students. With our many vocational curricula the final professional outline is ideally that of somebody (staff and students) who shows a learning attitude towards entrepreneurship /entrepreneurial based-learning and uses these skills in daily life because job and working experience needs this kind of skills nowadays. People need to be given the mind-set, skills and knowledge to generate creative ideas, and the entrepreneurial initiative to turn those ideas into action. A job/work is nowadays not a lifelong job, because of international movements and integration. As for inclusiveness , our teachers need new approaches to really include our students. A big step forward has been to have international involvement for a course, job-shadowing, teaching assignments and job rotation as best practice to open for new ideas. To give students (new) perspective we have tried to create new opportunities for them in the approach and learning methods/curricula.
