At Hanze we have an Internationalisation Programme Team consisting of 2 Deans and 1 Programme Manager. The team is responsible for the internationalisation policy and operates under the auspices of the Chairman of our Executive Board. Our international cooperation focuses on 2 strategic networks: the East Africa Hub and the European University STARS EU. Our international strategy aims to prepare all of our students for a future as global citizens. This means that they should be able to act in a socially responsible way in an international or intercultural work environment. Therefore, all study programmes must address global citizenship and must indicate how students will prepare for an international and intercultural professional practice. The competences a student is expected to develop have been translated into clear learning outcomes per learning programme. Student mobility is seen as a way to enable students to develop these competences. BIPs are seen as a tool to make mobility more inclusive and accessible. Staff mobility is seen as a way to strengthen the cooperation with our international partners and to develop staff competences in an international context. The project is seen as essential in reaching these strategic goals.
