Objectives

There are various reasons for Windesheim to implement this project. First and foremost, Windesheim wants to be an active player in the E(H)EA as indicated in our EPS. By engaging our students and staff in European (and international) collaboration and mobilities, we believe that we contribute to the further development of the E(H)EA and to the personal and professional development of the individual participants. We would like the persons that participate in outgoing or incoming mobilities to develop international and intercultural skills and knowledge which they will apply throughout the rest of their studies and their professional careers, but more specifically we hope they will use these skills during the rest of their lives as active members of society. The diversity of opportunities offered within KA131 (study & traineeship, long & short term, teaching & training) enables participation of students and staff from various backgrounds. Engaging in Erasmus+ also enables Windesheim as an institution to learn and grow on a European level. Participating in KA131 enables Windesheim to provide grants for longer and shorter stays abroad for students.and staff, also including participants with fewer opportunities that would be less likely to go abroad without the extra funding. It also supports Windesheim in becoming a visible participant in the larger EU and become more engaged in Europe as an institution.
